Peter is our Chairman, husband of our MD Carol, and our on-call go-to for any company service and repair needs.

Peter has spent his working life as a mechanical engineer, including tuning and building racing classic motorcycles – his first love being Manx Norton racing engines.

Now “retired” – Peter has spent the past 4 years restoring a 1948 MG TC – applying his legendary attention to detail to bring this USA export car back to life.

The MG Octagon Car Club is dedicated to maintaining and preserving pre-1956 MG cars, manufactured at Abingdon in the Midlands.

Each year the Octagon club organise a Founders Week rally – postponed during the pandemic – and resurrected in 2022 for the Tour of the Isle of Man.

The tour included 3 days on wonderful, scenic back roads around the South and North of the Island, and of course on the TT Circuit. Highlights were the Sound of Man, Port Erin and a spectacular run over Round Table for lunch at beautiful Niarbyl Bay – where we were told basking sharks have already been sighted off the bay. In the North – well worth a visit to Jurby Manx Motor Museum, and another impressive run up the hill climb which is the Tholt-y-Wyl glen.

Peter has raced, primarily Manx Norton’s, in the Isle of Man for over 35 years – so a trip around the TT Course brought back, sometimes wistful, memories.
